There's really no stipulations but there should definitely be an asterik.

The fact that they keep feeding him these people makes me think maybe he isn't that good.
Some fighters were champions by their 18th fight, and with the Gamboa guy from Cuba, they are moving him at warp speed so maybe Brunson isn't so special (ala Victor Oganov, the super middleweight killer who got killed after 25 straight ko's)

Anyone seen this middleweight boxer fight before?? He has equalled Edwin Valero's KO record of 18 straight wins in the first round and he's looking to break the record tonight?? He hasn't fought any good fighters yet but there's no doubt that this dude obviously can punch.

We'll find out more about Brunson once he faces an actual opponent. I know it's seems impressive KO'ing 18 guys in a row in the first round, but when you look at the guys he's fought it's not all that great. Hopefully soon we see him in there against a credible opponent.
