  • Which Boxers Deserves The Most Sympathy?

Sometimes we as fans throw more punches at the fighters than their opponents do! Sometimes rightfully and sometimes wrongfully! We tend to glorify the man whose hand was raised after an epic or heroic effort and tend to flush his dance partners efforts down the **** pipe! Some fighters deserve to have their hands raised even after takin a L!
The Boxer in my opinion who deserves our sympathy is Meldrick "TNT" Taylor! Mel fought his heart out for 35 minutes and 58 seconds of a 36 minute world class fight with a world class opponent Julio C. Chavez! He was winning fighting the heavier puncher toe to toe! He showed heart, will, and skill through out the fight! We all know how it ended, but I felt then and still feel now, Mel earned those 2 seconds, he earned a chance to finish on his feet! My heart bled for Mel then and the bleeding has NEVER stopped! Richard Steele( ) made one of the WORST calls in boxing history and by doing so he deprived a young talented Philly fighter of his NIGHT! I credit Steele with ending Mel more than Chavez! I know Frankie Randall is officially the first L Chavez took, but TRUTHFULLY Mel did it first!

I know we all be doggin certain fighters out, but now letz flip the script!
Which fighter or fighters should be getting our SYMPATHY?

I'd vote for the Marcus Rhode's, the Freddie Pendleton's, Reggie Strickland's of the world going into the ring with a pretty good idea that they won't win, but going through with it anyways.

Check out some of the guys on your favorite fighters resumes. Chances are he's knocked one of these journeymen out.

I think it takes much more balls to go in knowing you're outgunned and pretty much knowing how it's gonna end (with you staring at the ceiling)
