i was at roy jones jr vs tarver 1. sat ringside the crowd booed thought tarver won. made me think tarver won too. then i went home and watched it on hbo and saw that roy jones jr clearly won based on clean body shots and over all cleaner landed effective punches.
watching it live is like none other, but when the crowd boos it influences you to feel a certain way.
even if the booing crowd is not the majority boos sound louder than cheers especially in the auditorium. so just keep that in mindComment

You know the only thing bad at small events is when they don't have big screen and you see a knockout and you look up, and there's no screen to watch the replay.
I missed a vicious Ben Tackie knockout some years ago because I looked down for a second to pick up something I dropped. No instant replay....damn...Comment

They didn't have anyone seated above the luxury boxes for that card. I saw my first fight in the upper deck at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis - and that is a steep, steep climb. Mainly watched the jumbo tron rather than the fighters. Been ringside or at least on the floor at every major event since then...I was wondering if you have been and sat in the nosebleeds? Can you see anything at all? I'd couldv'e gone to Spinks-Phillips in STL but didn't really have the expendable cash. I really kicked myself in the ass when I had a chance to go to Diego Corralles last fight in Springfield, MO three hours away. Not only could I have had a great seat but it was his last fight before he passed. No good fights ever come to my area. Also, are seats behind the camera crew really cheap?Comment

I went to the Alamodome last year when Manny fought Jorge Solis, that was when Arce got whooped by a then relatively unknown Christian Mijares. Sosa also upset " The Hawaiian Punch " that night. Great night of fights, but I sat nosebleed and couldn't really see anything. I found myself watching the jumbo-tron most of the night. Don't get me wrong though, nothing compares to a live atmosphere, especially when it's Mexico vs. Phillipines. Plus every true fan should get to hear Michael Buffer live at least once.Comment

If you're sitting in the nosebleeds, all you're paying for is the atmosphere. You're going to be looking at the big screen the whole fight. A good pair of binoculars is a decent option that I've used.I was wondering if you have been and sat in the nosebleeds? Can you see anything at all? Can anyone think of any big fights in KC or STL in recent history?? Maybe Tommy Morrison in KC back in the day?? I know Memphis and Chicago have had a few but they are both over six hours away. They have a bunch of junk low level MMA that I would pay not to see. All the action goes east and west.Comment
