    Why never no Cotto/Hatton talk?

A Cotto/Hatton fight would possibly get Cotto to that next level that Floyd says he needs to get to, to be more of a profitable opponent so why don't these two meet at some sort of catchweight and the winner could face the DLH/PBF winner with noone being able to complain!!!! DLH will gets his rematch and Cotto will get his chance to "prove" he is worthy or Hatton can disprove this and get his rematch in '09?

Cotto isn't fighting at any catchweight. He is a 147 lb titleholder and beating Hatton would prove nothing. Beating Margarito or Cintron would.

because Cottos closet queen rage would destroy Fatton........ thats why Fatton wont even attempt to earn his rematch with Floyd by picking a lucrative fight with a name from the heigher weight classes....... like a Cotto or a Hoya.

Cotto would demolish Hatton, besides he's got bigger fish to fry when he meets Margarito.

floyd almost ended hatton's life with his punches, and everyone knows that mayweather is not a big puncher, but his shots were hurting hatton. on that night you'd think floyd was one of the biggest punchers when he was trading with hatton. cotto is a harder puncher than floyd and his style is similar to hatton. ricky is probably more wreckless but miguel goes into it and i think that will be bad news for ricky. hatton is just not a welterweight, and cotto is not gonna move down anymore because he feels strongest at 147. no point of that fight happening because ricky may get hurt, and get knocked out even faster that in his fight with floyd

this is all just mayweather talk. by listening to floyd fans preceive that cotto needs to fight names to build his fanbase. that's bs because miguel already has a fanbase and doesnt need anymore tune up fights.

I agree fully and want Cotto to keep fighting within his division but he could easily end up losing if he keeps fighting the caliber of fighters he his fighting and that will just make Floyd say see he was never worthy he just lost and even though thats ignorance that is how he thinks and his fans think, I am just saying if he wants a date with Floyd he is gonna have to pull off something like a Hatton or DLH fight b/c fighting Gomez, Marg/Cintron winner and Mayorga ain't gonna get it no matter how good them fighters are Floyd discredits every last one of them and will continue to do so. I just don't want Cotto to lose before he gets his shot at Floyd!!!!

Hatton would NEVER agree to a fight with Cotto. that would be one of the worst beatdowns in history.

it works both ways because floyd will discredit him either way. if he fought hatton, floyd will say that he already exposed ricky and knocked him out. if he fights oscar (that wont happen) floyd will say he already beat oscar, and he's old, and that miguel is fighting his left overs. that should tell you that no matter who miguel steps into the ring with, floyd will find a way to downgrade cotto's victories like he's doing now.

right now the best are fighting the best. cintron a dangerous fighter is facing one of the better welterweights in margarito, then cotto should face the winner if his fight with mayorga soppousedly goes off or doesnt go off. either way these guys are making the effort to step into the ring with each other to determine their standing in the division.

they dont go in other sports to diss other fighters and trash the sport. that's not sportsmanlike and it hurts the tradition of boxing.
