I gotta say Floyd would TKO Cotto faster than he beat Hatton. Cotto is too slow and once stunned Floyd will shoeshine him and the ref will step in. Especially if they get the Floyd loving Cortez for the fight.

Hatton lunges in with his hands down..

      Cotto doesnt..

      Hatton smothers his own shots.

      Cotto doesnt

The only time I really saw Cotto avoiding a fighter was the towards the 11th and 12th with Shane Mosely at the Garden. Mayweather DOES NOT hit like Zab Judah's wicked left upper cut and certainly DOES NOT hit as hard as Shane Mosely.
Finally a good poster...........I agree he doesnt hit hard as Shane or Zab not even close...but its floyd accuracy and speed that makes for perfectly placed punches rather then HARD ones that I think will do Cotto in.

Cotto is a bull though...he'll come foward all night...but at the end of the SSM fight he showed a weakness that we never seen in Cotto.

I think the diffrence in this fight will be Floyds defense....Cottos never seen anything like it..he was landing on Shane and Zab at will...those same punches will be hard to find against Mayweather.

Cotto's body punching is very unpredictable.. Floyd will be surprised of what Cotto will do to him.. Cotto knows how to fight slick and defensive fighters and have no problem dealing with it.. Cotto will hit him on the body because Cotto knows how to land his bodyshots perfectly.

The fight will never happen because he only plans to fight Oscar this year and Hatton next year.. Maybe at 2010 a possibility.. But since Floyd ducks him too much already, I don't expect this fight to happen anymore.

What slick defensive fighters has Cotto faced that are remotely close to PBF?

Maliggnagi and Quintana? Even Paul Williams cannot even hit Quintana.. They may not be as good as Floyd defensively but how about Floyd? Did he ever face an accurate body puncher like Cotto who knows how to fight speed and slick fighters.. Look at Cotto's last 10 fights and they can't even stop and predict his body punching..

Floyd can jab and counter all night.. He may ran if he want.. Cotto is not as fast but he knows how to beat on his opponent's style ..

but he is very fast and ACCURATE! That can make up for punching power. I would say that he is the most ACCURATE boxer going.
