Haha. Well at least you have good humor about it. Really, though, an autopsy can't prove insanity. In fact, insanity is a legal term- not a psychological one. "Insanity" doesn't have a definition in the DSM- IV...which lists all the disorders and their classifications. Most psychologists believe mental illness is a combination of social interactions and physiological predispositions. You can't just find damage and know someone is impaired, though, unless we're talking about a biological problem. They may have found some damage, or a neurological problem- but nothing as clear cut as, "Yep, he was ****ed in the head. That's why he did it."Comment

Without a doubt! Mayweather got fast hands, we all know that. My statement is Mayweather will have a difficult time "STOPPING" Cotto. Throwing stiff jabs, followed by combos keeps anyone at bay, If even for a moment. That can throw Cotto off his attack. But you gotta admit that Cotto is a Relentless Pursuer. The only time I really saw Cotto avoiding a fighter was the towards the 11th and 12th with Shane Mosely at the Garden. Mayweather DOES NOT hit like Zab Judah's wicked left upper cut and certainly DOES NOT hit as hard as Shane Mosely.Last edited by RisAri0; 04-02-2008, 01:54 PM.Comment

Let's face it, both guys have never faced a fighter like one another. You can compare this guy and that guy, but at the end of the day those two have never faced each other's styles before, that's why it's an intriguing fight and the most hyped fight in years.
Mayweather's very good in the pocket, but so is Cotto (especially against the ropes). Cotto's jab will be a main factor setting up his combos and body punches. Floyd's defense may work in the beginning, but I don't think he can frustrate Cotto like he did with De la Hoya. Cotto has a lot of tricks most Cotto haters don't even mention (i.e Southpaw switchin where he's always effective and his sneaky right hands that come in the pocket).
Most guys that have faced Mayweather try to rush getting past Floyd's defense. Like someone else said on here, Floyd is hittable. But Floyd has the ability to change his game plan during the mid point of a fight, as does Cotto.
After Floyd's fight with Oscar, the demand will be at an all time high for a Cotto vs Mayweather showdown. If the fight isn't made anytime next year and he decides to fight Hatton again, you better believe they're going to crown Cotto as #1 WW.
you forget about floyds out of this world reflexes, and the fact that he covers his body very well making it hard to land to the body even if you set your punches up with the jab.Comment
