And yet it continues...2008; the year of the comebacks and underdogs

    K-9 Vs. Ouma...

this underdog i predicted to win. i even put a some real life $$$ on it.

However i scored it a draw (maybe thats why im not a judge)... but i can't complain because it put money in my pocket.

Ouma controlled the fight (in my opinion) on the inside...K-9 didnt look comfortable in close and didnt punch as much while Ouma did the work.

K-9 landed some very good right hands that didnt really buckle the knees of ouma but he definately felt it well.

K-9 looked best off the jab followed by the right...some rounds were pretty hard to score i admit.

i wouldnt have complained either way this fight went as i seen it close...

How about last night's spinks v. phillips fight?

pure robbery. i had spinks ahead 8 rounds to 4 rounds (116-112).

When i heard the annoucner say, "we have a split decision" i thought, "here we go...a judge tried to rob spinks" but no...they actually gave phillips the fight and DID rob spinks...

116-112 for phillips? come on...be serious.

Phillips DID fight much better than i anticipated but i dont believe he did nearly enough to take the title away from spinks...

in certain points of the fight it was even hard to watch but nonetheless spinks won that fight...he was the superior boxer; beating phillips to the punch and showing he is truely the better fighter...

    THAT scorecard actually surprised me...

glad i didnt make a bet on that fight (like i was planning to).

and im also glad no one took me up on my challenge of my points on spinks...

thoughts opinions on these two fights?
