So basically what you are saying is the challenger shouldn't push for a fight with the champion, it should be the other way around, right? Great logic. That's why Cotto will have to wait until after De La Hoya and Hatton.

I understand were you're coming from....but to wait after a Hatton fight ? Floyd shouldnt even be fighting Hatton a second time and this is coming from a Mayweather fan. I want him to fight Cotto to prove he is the best WW and to silence the HATERS and his critcs!

Oh believe me, I'd like to see Mayweather-Cotto even before I see the 2nd De La Hoya fight, but Cotto needs to understand that to get Mayweather in the ring, you have to embarrass him, and Cotto aint doing **** by giving the old "I fight who my team gets me to fight" line.

Mexican newspapers don't mean **** to me. If he really wants the fight, he'll broadcast it to the world on HBO in his post-fight interviews. Period.

G.Leon asked Arum if he has made any offers to Floyd yet, and Arum said "we all saw what happended the last time i made an offer to Floyd" (talking about his $8mil offer to fight Margarito) LOL. Arum said that once Floyd shows that he is interested in the fight, he'll make Floyd an offer.

Floyd was the challenger back then, he wasn't in a power position to choose fights. It's not like that anymore, he's the top dog and gets to do whatever he wants. If Cotto wants it, he'll have to sharpen up those media relations skills, and get it.

I hope he actually calls out Mayweather, I know he is due to fight the Margarito/cintron winner but it would make it clear to people right there on HBO. I hope he doesnt use the same line about he leave his team to decide who he fights.
