The Reason Filipinnes may never have another Star!

Because all the young boxers supposedly trying to go for the knockout and imitate pacquiao! instead they should be imitating Penalosa who is probally p4p one of the best technicians in the game...or nonito donaire.

this is what will hurt the filipinos, because pacman is flawed he is one of a kind only HE can get away with that wild style, just like tyson can only move like a tazmanian devil, and naseem can bounce around like a mongoose.
these styles fit them and them only.

with Mexico the Boxers try to be there own fighter and work on the technique and textbook now, they evolved no longer brawlers and pressure fighters many or boxer punchers now and jmm the best counter puncher in the game.

while I noticed the filipinos now are not using there boxing skill but rather trying to go for a knockout like pacman...an example is Bobby Pacquiao believe it or not he has good boxing skill when he fought Soto he was able to win rounds with his jab alone making soto miss...but then he tried to brawl and paid for it.

another is that kid buatista he tried to go in for a knockout against a heavier hitter in ponce deleon, and he wnet in with his head straight in the air.

When Penalosa was making ponce deleon look foolish, gerry was looking like winky wright in there fight.

thats what I am saying the mexicans pretty much have boxing down to a science where as the filipinos seem to try to emulate being a knockout artists instead they should follow guy slike penalosa and donaire.

depends on your definiton of star, pac is one in a lifetime and he will probably be the only one as popular in this decade so no
if ur definition of star is donaire and penalosa who are alphabet champions but not popular then yes

Pacquiao is gonna be an ispiration for thousands to pick up the gloves and start boxing, but that doesnt mean they will fight like him.

Just looka t how many fighters were inspired to start boxing by Muhammad Ali, yet very few of them fought anything like Ali

some good points guys, its just it reminds me of when Bruce Lee was popular and he was a legend and he said something like the chinese always imitate they never be there own person...its kinda like with pacman i was watching some of those young filipinos and they abandon there boxing skills and go for broke like gabi, model royal, bautista, bob pac etc...they need to keep there composure.
