It isn't illegal, unless maybe if you actually LEAVE the cord in the

    h.
I see the cord.. I saw it when I saw it live.. but he doesn't leave it in there..
how the hell do you think that big ass dangling chord is gonna just stay stuck to your skin? it makes no sense! plus.. leaving a cord in there would only maximize the damage done to the eye if he were to get hit in it again.

      Exactly.

Leaving the cord in is dangerous, because if it falls into Juan Manuel's eye, he's temporarily blinded. If it WAS somehow left in, during one of the other rounds (someone claimed a string fell out), then it was left in by accident.

I don't think Nacho would've put Juan's title at extra risk, by potentially blinding his fighter during a round. Even if it prolongs the epi dosing, the downside of having the thread blind JMM for even a second is more than an equalizer... in other words:

This "thread about a thread" is really about a ****ing non-issue,
so give it a rest already. Just because some sports rag writer can't be bothered to ask around for what the cord was, doesnt mean'we have to be as lazy or as uninformed.

And don't anyone try to give me **** about being pro-JMM.
Because I'm solid Pac, and I had it 114-113 for him.
I simply dislike baseless, lazy and ignorant insinuations from any corner,
so any of you bitchers can go **** off.

bro it was left there. it was used to avoid the blood from coming out. someone explained it here before that those threads would numb the cut and keep the blood from coming out.

It would not cause numbness. You're thinking dental articaine, whereas
it's likely the cord was a vehicle for epinephrine only, which is legal.

You can't apply an anaesthetic carelessly (via a soaked thread, for example),
without running the risk of overdose affecting the fighter's abilities, even
on a local scale: guy's gotta have full ability to blink quickly, at least. For that reason, the cord would have been hopped up on coagulant only.

              -=-=-=-=-

Whether the thread was left in or not is irrelevant, unless you wanna get
whiny nitpicky-technical about it. I already pointed out the potential
disadvantage of blocking Juan's vision for even a split second during the
round would outweigh any prolonged bleed-stopping advantage.

If Nacho left it in, it was likely by accident. If it was left in intentionally,
then Nacho's an even bigger ****ing moron than I earlier thought.

The primary person with grounds to protest that cord being left in is JMM,
for attempted sabotage of his vision.

              h.

are you blind I knew you would answer that way lol

there was another round where he was trying to stick the cord in but it fell out, this was the 12th round and nacho stuck that bad boy in side that deep cut.

In Nevada, it's illegal to apply any medication -- except coagulants Avetine, thrombin and epinephrine -- to a cut during a fight. It's also illegal to place a foreign object inside a cut and leave it there during a round. But the ring physician assigned to Marquez's corner appeared not to notice -- or maybe he noticed and just didn't care.
This moron gives me bad Karma for pointing out he should've used should have or should've instead of "should of" and then proceeds to state, "its not about who won, its about the illegal move, and its principle to ban him." I wasn't arguing that point, I was pointing out that you should learn a bit of English.

Also, let me inform you that the Nevada State Athletic Commission, the people who decide if something done in a sporting event in Las Vegas is legal or not, have said that Nacho did nothing wrong or illegal. Here's a link: read it and weep, moron

It's too bad I can't give you more bad K, but I hope others do.
