A lot of cotto mayweather talk lately, personally, and i am a big mayweather fan i think mayweather gets himself in a lot of trouble if indeed he was to take this fight,which i also think he needs to because the demand for it. I think cotto looked pretty much unstopable in the mosely fight which i scored 116-112 with cotto winning 4 out of the last 5 rounds. I think that mosely is stronger thena floyd althought floyd seems to land the cleanist punches in boxing period, and cotta seemed to walk through every punch, especially the overhand right, mosely threw at him. I think his constant pressure allows mayweather to land a lot of big clean shots, but i dont think mayweather has the power to hurt cotto, there fore cotto continues to stalk him down and i actually think cotto could even win a decision over floyd before i would take floyd.
I like the tarver woods matchup a lot, but the problem is you never know what tarver your gonna get. (unless it jones vs tarver therefore your gonna get the best tarver everytime). This to me is a lil upsetting because i dont think we will ever know what the true potential was in atonio tarver. He seems to flop everytime he needs a win, look at tarver/harding 1 although he would avenge this loss, johnson and tarver 1, and most recently tarver and hopkins.(not taking anything away from hopkins at all, but tarver didnt come in to fight at all). I think woods has a lot of confidence comin in with a 6 fight win streak since his 04 losss to johnson, also avenged, and i think since jones jr destroyed him in 02 woods has come a long way. Now who wins? good question, I think Tarver cant possibly loss because if he does his career would pretty much be done, i mean who would we really want to see him fight if he comes out the way he did against hopkins. Woods on the other hand i think theres some interesting fights still left is he loses,possibly dawson is he get by johnson, and i would like to see a 4th fight vs johnson. I think tarver comes out to fight and i think he wins by a score around 116-112 or more.
Lastly im interested in seeing where Jermain Taylor goes from here. I think that something happened when Emanuel Steward left his corner and i have a feeling that it wasnt just because Taylor was going back to what got him to the game first. I think that Manny truly seen something special in the kid in order to tkae him up but after seeing him absolutely not listen to a word being said to him against Winky and then once again against Pavlik Steward had nothing left to give. Remember Emanuel Steward is a sure Hall of Fame trainer.....Is Jermain Taylor a hall of famer?
