Mads Larsen vs. Ross Thompson saturday

Mads Larsen surprisingly gets a fight on the Abraham card this saturday. He is continuing his comeback with a fight against Ross Thompson.

Does anybody know anything about him? Apparantly he has lost a 12-rounder to Jeff Lacy. Is he any good?

If you look at his resume, with 4 lost fights out of his last 6 (according to boxrec), and this being his second fight from a 4 year lay off, I'm sure Mads will win easily.

Ross Thompson went the distance with Pavlik, Echols and Lacy who are all hard punchers but surprisingly, Fernando Vargas stopped him in four rounds (that was a long time ago though).

This is Thompson's second fight in 4 years, he took a 4 year break after losing to Pavlik in 2004 and came back to lose a decision.
It seems like he is pretty much a professional loser at this point of his career so he won't be much of a challenge but he is tough, or atleast he used to be...

I don't think this is much more than a stay-busy fight for the returning Mads Larsen.

Thanks for the input guys. It's short notice so Thompson will probably get a nice euro pay-check for a short trip to Germany. I guess Mads oughtta KO the guy if he wants to make a small statement.
