The year might as well be over

2008 is really off to a fantastic start, it almost might as well be over when it comes to awards.

    Fight of the Year:
    Pacquiao-Marquez II
    Vasquez-Marquez III
    Casamayor-Katsidis
    Vera-Lee
    Golota-Mollo

    Knock out of the Year:
    Miranda KO3 Banks
    Bunema KO10 Karmazin

    Upset of the Year:
    Quintana W12 Williams
    Macimana KO1 Sanders
    Vera KO7 Lee
    Cruz W12 Mashaba

So many candidates, so soon. Take your picks if the year were to end now.

So many great fights, and yet there still is a lot of boxing to yet to happen this year. It's a great time to be a fan!

Those are my votes. Hopefully boxing can continue this trend of giving us great fights for the rest of the year.

Off topic: If Katsidis had stayed down after getting hit by that counter left hook from Casamayor, it would be a contender for KO of the year.

Oh for sure man, that was a brutal shot, Katsidis fell like a man who did not know where he was.
