    Best recent welt fights

    In no particular order:

Margarito/Cintron...Cintron highly touted KO artist and undefeated. Didn't count for squadoodle against Margarito who delivered a NASA style blast off on poor Kermit.

Williams/Margarito....Margarito highly touted KO artist and a rep as the most feared welt in boxing. Didn't count against Williams who showed up with his A game and just made Margarito his latest tattoo poster child.

Williams/Quintana....Williams highly touted giant boxer, undefeated, and a rep as the most avoided welt in boxing. Quintana showed up full of fire and just commandeered the pocket through the first half and hung on for the upset against a comebacking Williams.

Cotto/Mosley....Mosley a HOFer still incredibly strong and fit. Cotto had his hands full, but save for being cut, put close to a masterclass on SShane, power when needed and boxing when called for

Cotto/Quintana....Quintana undefeated coming off a complete put down of undefeated KO artist Joel Julio. Cotto remade Carlos into his personal punching bag and put on an exhibition.

Baldy/Zab.....Zab the new undisputed champ with a new hot reputation to go along with his spectacular KO record. Unknown, untouted journeyman Baldy showed up to fight, hung tough, and caught up with showboating Zab mid rounds and put him in a disgraceful retreat for the remainder of the fight.

Seems like a spectacular era for welts with great fights, but something missing.

Maybe someone can fill me in as we have the Williams/Quintana rematch in the works along with Margarito/Cintron rematch, Zab/Mosley and Cotto/Margarito rumoured.

    Still, a missing link?
