What a shame this fight didnt happen..... for now. If Kessler wins the title again I am certain Miranda will get the first shot. A lot of people wants to see this fight.

I think this fight could be even better if both manage to win a title in the SMW division. We already have the hype with Kessler 'ducking' Miranda and all the trashtalking.

I'd be very disappointed if Kessler won't fight Miranda/won't fight for the title...

Mikkel Kessler on fighting Edison Miranda (18/03/08)

If everything goes according to the plan, my next opponent is going to be Edison Miranda 30 (KO 26) + lost 2 (KO 1). The exact date and place is still to be announced.
I have seen a few of his fights and besides being a good boxer he has got a great fighter mentality. After my opinion he has only lost one fight as he was robbed against Arthur Abraham in Germany.
I'm really looking forward to fight again even though it's a short notice.
My plan is to set up a camp in USA to get some new inputs and to acclimatise, but for now nothing is sure.
I'm really looking forward to box in the states again and even though it's far from little Denmark, I know that I will feel great.

Miranda should get a good win or two behind him, so he increases his value on the market. Kessler would make more money fighting a current or former titleholder.

There has been no evidence so far that Miranda is a world-class fighter. He should challenge Lacy or Bika, they are closer to his own level.
