Yes I do. I was on several US Boxing teams in the early 80's as a lightheavy and he was always Canada's heavyweight representative. We sparred once for about 15 seconds in late 1979. He only had about 6 fignts at the time so his coaches told my coach to take it easy on him(I had slose to 100 fights at that time) even though he outweighed me by 20 pounds. When the bell rang I went to touch gloves with him and he just started whaling at me and hit and stunned me a couple of times until I grabbed his arms and spun him around up against the ropes and hit him with a body shot that put him on the floor. I took the mouthpeice out of my mouth and said "take it easy my butt!! He's trying to kill me!!". That was the end of sparring with him. Everytime I saw him after that I always wanted to ask him what the hell he was thinking that day. But I always just said hello and so did he and we went on about our business.Comment

I remember the Cooper DeWitt bout, In fact I still have the recording. DeWitt was a pretty good amateur, just didn't do so well as a pro. I also remember seeing DeWitt fight Alex Williamson on the Hagler Hearns undercard. Williamson almost knocked him out too, Williamson probably should have won but they made it a draw. But Cooper, who was a cruiserweight back then really handed it to to him.Comment
