FLASH: Confusion surrounds Kessler and Miranda

Just-in: Danish TV2 reports that on saturday may 24 at 9 eastern time the fight between Mikkel Kessler and Edison Miranda will air on Showtime TV.

Or will it? The US tv-company does advertise the fight on their website but Bettina Palle, manager of Mikkel Kessler, cannot understand why Showtime has the guts. "The Miranda-camp must believe that the fight will materialize since they dare promise it to Showtime. All I can say is that I still haven't signed anything, and as long as i haven't there is no deal" Bettina Palle says.

Team Miranda confirmed that the contract still awaits the signing from team Kessler.

What's going on here???? The hyping has already startet so whats the meaning of this??

id say this, in boxing dont believe anything unless you got the fighters' signatures on the contract, even then there'll be little doubts.

also i remembered that peter-maskaev was suppoused to be on showtime, they even had the whole hype segment of it on the broadcast of dawson's light heavy title defence against the limited mendoza.

then after so many delays it laded on HBO

same was for jones-trinidad, it was expected to be on shotime, and it landed on HBO PPV.

lol HBO is stealling from sho.

Showtimes are gonna get really pissed if this is about money and the fight ends up on HBO.

it's always about trying to get the most money. it's a business decision for the promoters, and since nothing is official on the contract they can go back and forth like that until someone is satisfied

But HBO is really mainstream in boxing, and it's known to give out the big checks. so i wouldnt be surprised

yep, that's the feeling im getting, most likely HBO will lure them. they cant miss this fight, HBO really cares about their viewers, especially in boxing, and it's an action fight with 2 punchers. HBO is already on it like a fly on **** lol

Exactly HBO is gonna shell out the money for the fight basically cause they can and people know these 2 guys are exciting based on Kessler-Calzaghe being on hbo and also Miranda-Pavlik even though he got kod it was still exciting so people will definetly watch.
