Miranda: I'll KO Kessler. British fighters are cowards!
In an interview on danish TV2 website, Edison Miranda, likely the next opponent of former WBA/WBC SMW champ Mikkel Kessler stated that he didn't expect a long fight.
"I only have to hit him 3 times then I know he's finished" Pantera said before correcting: "Make that 1 punch".
Miranda feels he knows Kessler very well and that Kessler hasn't met any quality opponents so far. "He's a good fighter, but he's only fought no-name opponents without any carreer behind them. The only important guy he's met is Calzaghe. If I fought Calzaghe I'd win", he says "British fighters are cowards!".
Miranda has been on his own since age 9 and has had a tuff upbringing so he isn't concerned of the venue of the fight: "I'll fight Kessler anywhere. I'll fight him in his own house" and adds "I'll eat that little viking *****cat on may 24'th".
Asked what he thought the Kessler fight would mean to his career Miranda said: "It would mean a lot to me. By winning I know I'll be world champ so it would be a huge triumph for Edison Miranda although I've already had many triumphs in my career it's always the next thats the most important.
