    Calzaghe Punches harder than Taylor

I'm gunna get alot of crtisism for this but he can. Just because he choses to not load up on his shots recently doesn't mean he can't punch hard and IMO he punches harder than Taylor. It's only in his past 10 or so fights that he has begun "slapping" to protect his hands. Those shots are just to confuse his opponents and he sneaks some big shots in there.

People only seem to remember his most recent fights as an example, Wlad has been branded boring off one fight when most of his other fights are exciting and most end in KO. Look past his most recent fights and look back when he didn't care whether he damaged his hands. People forget that he injured his wrist and it almost ended his career so he developed a new "style" of fighting that suited him.

^back when he put the power that he is capable of in his shots.

Punches or punched? I suppose it's possible before his hand injuries but it's hard to say for sure. It's pretty bold to say he currently punches harder than Taylor. Don't forget Taylor nearly knocked out Pavlik recently. I'd have a time imagining Calzaghe do the same.

Calzaghe pre injury could've done it, look what he did to mitchell he wasn't an A class fighter but he had an A class chin. Pavlik has a decent chin but it isn't great and his defense is average.

Thats a horrible statement to make. I hate to repeat but as the previous poster said Taylor almost KO'd Pavlik. Taylor just has a problem of not being a good finisher. Even Taylor himself said Taylor was a mule and hits like a truck.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the only reason your placing Calzaghe and Taylor in the same sentence is because they are both Hopkins' opponents, Calzaghe being the present. Therefore I don't see much point in evaluating past power punching power between the two.

Also, I would say that Pavlik has a very good chin. He did take several flush shots from Miranda who also has one punch KO power.

100% correct. The only thing that shoots your arguement down however, is that Calzaghe can punch harder than Taylor in the present day also, only more sparingly and when he does take note of how he makes it count.

Maybe if you tryed to back up what you say, or provided some sort of analysis, your opinion would actually mean something other than ****.

You claimed the opposite in another thread, so let me ask you something. Have you?
