The popularity of the first season Contenders was largely due to the fact that it was in a primetime slot on network TV (NBC).

Bika's season was on cable and had a lot less Boxing-laymen friendly dramatics and storyline to the show.. They changed basically everything so it would be more to the liking of already fully subscribed Boxing fans like oursleves.. If Bika fought it would only be us who would show up, basically..

He's also an African of course, and virtually unknown.

But he did get some measure of exposure, so it's a fair question.

I think Bika would too, because fans would know that Bika's and Taylor's styles would make for a better fight that Taylor-Mundine and the American audience already knows who Bika is whereas Mundine is virtually unknown.
