    Boxing questions

Hey guys, new fan of boxing, I've become fascinated and it's probably my second favorite sport now. But I was wondering if you all could give me some advice on some classic boxing matches of these fighters so that I could watch on youtube:

Sugar ray robinson- what was his best and worsts fights, and what fights was he just ok in(preferably on youtube)

Roberto duran-What was his best and worst fights? especially at lightweight

Thats all for the moment thanks!

It's hard to find their full fights on youtube. There is very little footage of prime Robinson, most of his full fights on video are of him past his prime. His best performance IMO was against La Motta in their sixth fight.

Duran's best fights are against Iran Barkley, Leonard 1, Buchanan, De Jesus 2 and 3 and Moore. Worse fights are probably against Hearns, Joppy, Leonard 2.

Welcome to BoxingScene, I hope you enjoy it here.

To answer your question, here are some of my faves from both fighters.

        Ray Robinson
        ---------------
Robinson-Graziano, before Hagler-Hearns, this was the standard for 3 round middleweight wars
Robinson-Lamotta VI, the Valentine's Day Massacre, an excellent beating from Robinson on a much bigger fighter
Robinson-Fullmer II, Robinson turns back the hands of time, and Fullmer's head, by knocking Fullmer out as he's going backwards
Robinson-Turpin II, one of the most savage finishes in the history of boxing

        Duran
        ---------------
Any of the Esteban DeJesus fights, they were all classics
        Edwin Viruet, nice technical fight
        Duran-Leonard I was a war
Duran-Hearns, picture perfect KO from Hearns
Duran-Barkley, the old man shows us how to do it, this time at middleweight
Duran-Davey Moore, just beats the crap out of a younger fighter he was supposed to lose to

Thank you all, I've already seen the Duran-hearns fight. I've never seen a KO LIKE THAT BEFORE!

Do any of you happen to know why the powers that be stopped aloowing 15 20 and 32 round fights?

And why no one any longer has 6 or 3. oz gloves?

Safety of the fighters. Going 15, 20 or above makes a fighter way more susceptible to being seriously hurt, same thing with 6 or 3 oz. gloves, hitting an opponent multiple times with those can seriously hurt them.
