I like the way some people who went nuts at the fact Andy Lee was mentioned in the same sentence as Kelly Pavlik think it's perfectly fine to mention Gamboa with Pacquaio.

The amateurs is very different from pro boxing. Gamboa needs to be proven in time. He is hyped too much at this early stage of his career much like Juan Diaz.

He looks and moves like a smaller version of Junior Witter to me.

I agree that Gamboa has a lot of talent but he still has to prove himself against quality opponents. Pacquiao has already proven himself against Hall of Famers so the logical choice would be to go for Manny. After all, talent is not enough to propel a fighter towards success. Bojado is a good example. He is talented but lacks the the focus and determination to fulfill his potential.

Unfair thread right now,90% of the poll will end up saying Pacman,hes more experienced,Gamboas only had 9 fights,if you would have made this thread when Gamboa has 20 fights,and is champ,id pick Yuriorkis no doubt,he's much more talented then Pac,hits very hard for his weight,and is just as fast,he could box circles around him,but as of now,hes not as experienced,i dont know how,hes had over 400 amateur fights,and won Olympic Gold twice,but right now its too soon to ask this question IMO

Exatcly, it is unfair to match these 2 up right now. The sad thing is that by the time Gamboa gets to fully blossom into an unstoppable force Manny would most likely be retired or washed up so it's hard to match them at this point. If both fighters were on their prime with similar resumes right about now then I guess I would pick Gamboa cuz that mother ****er is a beast, but it wouldn't be an easy fight cuz Pac is also a ****ing beast.
