Joe Calzaghe to release pop single

Boxing star Joe Calzaghe wants pop career

    Mar 24 2008
BOXING champion Joe Calzaghe plans to launch a pop career when he quits the ring.
Calzaghe, 35, has already cut his first single - singing backing vocals for his dad Enzo.
In his younger days, Enzo, 56, and brother Sergio were a pop duo who shared the stage with Shirley Bassey, Bucks Fizz and Paul Young.
Joe said: "My dad left it behind to concentrate on my boxing career. When my career comes to an end, I'd like to give it a go as well.

Haven't you ever heard Joe Frazier? He actually toured with his band The Knock-outs back in the seventies.

There once was a time where he didn't slurred to much.
