Diaz is an exciting fighter and you're right that there is not much of a chance of him beating Pac. It's just a warm up fight for the new weight and to get a paper title in the process. Morales gave Diaz hell in their fight and he was so shot it was embarrassing.

As for Pacquiao being the number one pound for pound guy.....

He's a great fighter and quite possibly the most exciting fighter today but he is not close to being the No. 1 guy. That still goes to Floyd pretty easily and although Pac has had some great wins there are many guys that would beat him pretty easily I think. Well, maybe not easily but they would beat him. I noticed your P4P list and the guy that arguably beat Pac twice is not in it at all?

Anyway, they are just opinions. Pac (or more likely his team) avoided Guzman like the plague, as everyone seems to be doing actually, so I can understand that. Guzman has the ability to make just about anyone in his division look pretty terrible. I wouldn't have wanted to fight him!

I did notice that Pac did mention a rematch with Marquez but said it would be much later on.....how much later can it be?!?! He's already thirty four for god's sake! By the time they get around to it after Diaz etc he will be 35 or 36 and even slower and less sharp than he is now! If they're going to give him a rematch it needs to be now, just to make it exciting still.

Ahhh, whatever...I wonder if Pac will fight either Juan Diaz or Katsidis? Both of those fights would be absolute magic! As well as Diaz/Katsidis.

Pac should win, but it might not be as handily as people might think. Even though I think he'll get beat, I expect Diaz to at least put up a decent fight as long as it lasts. Even if Pac carries his power to 135 bigger guys will be able to take his shots better.

The WBC belt here will make this fight marketable considering this is the debut of Pac at 135.. Not bad... Diaz is hard to knock out... But I see a UD win by Pac.

Agree with this dude chuips. Celebrate while u can, its only a matter of time now. I really dont think Pac belongs at 135 his power wont have as much effect and he is by no means a good boxer. Juan Diaz,Katsidids,Nate Campbell, and Casa would beat Pacquiao in my opinion.

Well my opinion is that the extra poundage actually gives Pac's power more "oomph" and have a much greater effect than at 130. And i'd be willing to wager points None of the fighters you just listed beats him. If anyone is gonna challenge Pac's supremacy...it'll be either anthony peterson or amir khan. neither of whom coincidentally are latin. Lol. But that'll still be a ways away as both still have development to work on.

Perhaps, but Pac needs to be more active. Perhaps he will be when not facing a great counterpuncher like JMM. Be interesting to see how his power carries to LW.

Not true my midget filipino. Pacquiao rehydrates to 140+ pounds on fight night, so he easily overpowers any superfeatherweight. But at lightweight he will be fighting bigger guys that can take a punch. Like i said before celebrate while u can it wont be long before Pac loses.
