personally i dont want to see these 2 fight for the third time. 2 of their fights were exciting and thrilling, but they can go back and forth that way. in the first fight, some might make a case that manny won had the judge scored the first round correctly with 3 kds. in this fight people are saying marquez won, but didnt get credit because of the single kd in favour of pacquiao. im tired reliving the same chapter. pacman makes the effort to move on to seek other lucrative fights out there. marquez should do the same. it's not the first time in boxing when it's a close fight and the decision goes all around.

pacquiao has business to do at 135 and he should do it. i dont wanna push for the third fight, and i dont think it will happen.

if anything, if the third fight will take place, which i doubt, it could be potentially boring. mainly because marquez will try to sharpen up his technique, and instead of slugging try to box more to secure the decision by minimizing manny's rushes.

**** that, i wanna see something new from the two of them.

Pac must be getting more than $6 mill for fighting diaz. If he isn't it doesn't make sense because richard shaefer said that's how much they'll give him for a rematch.

Yeah, he paid for it. If he had taken the rematch, his career would be very different right now.

Its the fight everybody wants to see, and makes the most sense money wise, i dont see how it cant happen.
Marquez makes the same argument after every Pacquiao fight. "I know I was knocked down 'x amount of' times, but I really did win the fight. Honest."

The problem is that in Vegas, they give the fight to the guy who tries to go the extra mile to impress them. There were two close decisions in which he was dropped four times cumulative. A fighter has to live with these decisions forever, he should atleast behave like a fighter and get back to the business of fighting. I'd love to see a third fight, but it looks like it'd have to happen at 135. If Marquez wants to go to 135, then the fight is feasible. Hanging around at 130 won't do Marquez any favors in search of a Pacquiao fight.

After the PPV results.....JMM-PAC 3 would definitely be the best moneymaker for both of them. But then Arum might have been pissed at the JMM team for crying too much...and they did have words for each other which I think is still happening.

I've seen many guys going the extra mile in vegas who weren't given the fight. Castillo-Mayweather comes to my mind, even dlh/pbf.

I'd like to see Marquez create his own destiny. Fight other guys, like Joan Guzman or one of the lightweight champions, to create a legacy that doesn't circle around losing a close decision to Pacquiao. If Marquez allows the Pacquiao fights to be his legacy, it will be a shame. Marquez is a better fighter than to be just the guy who came close to beating Pacquiao. Why not be known as the guy who beat Joan Guzman? Give Pacquiao something to envy and he'll come knocking.

I'm not sure De La Hoya went the extra mile against Mayweather. He started out blazing, but ended up sputtering.

No doubt Mayweather was in control early in the Castillo fight, almost outclassing him. Then Castillo came on in the middle rounds and was starting to really get under Mayweather's skin. Towards the end they fought on even terms, maybe Mayweather even got the better of the in-fighting. That was no robbery, that's Castillo coming just short.

If you want to talk about robbery, the following week in New York, Manuel Medina got robbed blind for the IBF Featherweight title against Johnny Tapia. Medina reacted correctly in such blatant instances: He left the ring in disgust.

Marquez said he's willing to fight pac at 135 during the post fight press conference. Imo jmm really doesn't have anything to prove as far as his legacy goes. I think he'll fight a couple of fights at 130 before moving up for the rematch. Even pac wouldn't fight joan guzman.

If you want to talk about history, Marquez's best wins are over Barrera, Derrick Gainer, and Manuel Medina. That's not exactly an accurate representation of his merits as a fighter. Get a win over Guzman or Juan Diaz, maybe move up and fight Nate Campbell or Casamayor. Doing something other than griping about the decision will help him greatly really.
