Diaz Holds Out Faith for a Quick Pacquiao Healing

By Jake Donovan - Among those with a vested interest in the lightweight division these days, all eyes were on Saturday's HBO main event between Joel Casamayor and Michael Katsidis. [details]

i hope pacman-david diaz happens. though pac-juan diaz would have been better. this could test pac's real power in the lightweight division.

To be honest I think Pacquiao is overrated. He is not a skilled boxer but does have good power. He is too strong for any featherweight at the moment but at lightweight I see him getting beat by Katsidis,Juan Diaz,Nate Campbell and Casamayor simply because i think they all can easily take Pacquiaos punches and Hit him with some power shots that would most likely knock him out.

boxing is about winning not losing, how can you say a man like marquez, barrera morales etc.. are more skilled than pacquiao if they don't know how to beat him???? boxing is not about how technical you are and how beautiful your counter punch is then just end up as the loser.. THE GREATEST SKILL IN BOXING IS TO BEAT YOUR HIGHLY REGARDED OPPONENTS and that is what manny pacquiao has.

You obviously have never boxed! Marquez, berrera and morales ARE more skilled than pacquiao. They were simply outgunned. Pac has tremendous power and he is not a natural featherweight but more of a lightweight or even jr welterweight. Those guys were simply outgunned. Your post really makes no sense from a boxer's point of view because beating your 'highly regarded ' opponent takes technical ability, mental ability, heart, and the physical ability. Boxing is truely a game of match ups. Especially these days. Why do you think fighters 'duck' other fighters. They know they don't match up well. Not trying to blast or badmouth you , but 'the greatest skill in boxing is to beat your highly regarded opponent' just didn't make sense.

And thats what Pac-man used to beat all 3. JMM, Barrera, Morales are all good boxers, but everyone has there own style. Just because he isn't an outboxer that counters beautiful or throws techinical jabs and 1-2s, doesn't mean he isn't a good boxer. Pac-man has tremendous power and hand speed, and his defense plus counters has improved a lot. His style is a mixture of infighting and outboxing. He throws quick combos, but his combos consist of mostly power shots and he has the guts and heart to engage in a war. This is his style and that is why he wins.
