    Casamayor-Katsidis: The Post-Fight Report Card

By Cliff Rold - Boxing did it again. In a week where the best that was hoped for was a decent scrap, the sport got another exceptional one to cap off a March 2008 that will be fondly recalled by any fans who witnessed it. [details]

More than any other fight right now, I would love to see a rematch between these two. I think it would generate the necessary excitement to give Casa his wanted large pay and for Katsidis a chance at fixing some big mistakes and to gain redemption in avenging his only loss. I'm quite positive that I'm not the only one that would be interested in seeing this rematch take place although I have a feeling that Casa and his people would rather not go down this painful road again.

As the article mentioned, if Kats can learn from this fight, he will most definitely come back stronger, smarter and better than ever. I for one will be very interested in seeing his next opponent. Hopefully it may very well be Casa.

The guy above me is insane... Like Casamayor is a nice guy and would allow katsidis to have any chance of beating him... HAHAHA, sorry most boxers aren't nice guys and once they beat someone they don't want to give that boxer another chance to try and repair history. And Casamayor is the last boxer who would do that

casamayor's victory over katsidis somehow boast his waning career. nonetheless, it will not erase the stain inflicted by sta.cruz on him, neither will it vindicate the judges that ruled in casamayor's favor.

I may very well be insane, nonetheless, money can sometimes over-rule the need to keep a win. If the money is right Casamayor will give Katsidis a rematch and if you think Casamayor would never give anyone a rematch because he has already beaten them maybe you should go check out his record and who he's fought and rematched.

Don't underestimate the power of money. If Katsidis' team can get it together thy might be able to get him the rematch. Though it will probably be a long shot.

i find it interesting that everyone mentions santa cruz, and leaves it at that.

Kid Diamond got the bad end of dodgy decision against casamayor too.

It turned out to be an entertaining fight, but Casamayor knows that there are way bigger money fights out there for him than a rematch with Katsidis. He's looking for money fights (win or lose) against the names in the sport.

Btw, if the writer gave Katsidis a C+ in defense, what the hell does a guy have to do to get a failing grade?!?

Casamayor came to fight for a change. As a lefty vs. a righty, he got just the little bit more distance he needed to time Katsidis' bullrushes and tag him with the straight left....
