UFC’S SILVA WANTS ROY JONES IN BOXING MATCH!

WOULD “CHINNY” JONES END UP LUNCHMEAT?
San Francisco, CA-People have always wondered how a boxer would do against a Mixed Martial Arts fighter. The roadblock to these type of fights happening has always been the boxer’s reluctance to engage in such an MMA match. People say, “They are two forms of fighting, and you can’t mix the two sports together.” Having heard that time and again, there were published reports late Tuesday that Anderson Silva, the UFC 185 lb. champion, wants to fight Roy Jones in a boxing match!
BETCHA’ ROY WON’T ANSWER THE PHONE!
Silva is fresh off a win (via choke hold) over Dan Henderson, formerly the Pride Fighting 185 lb. champion, Silva is one of the most dangerous strikers in MMA. Besides his submission holds, both Anderson’s punches and kicks are lethal. Jones is coming off a 12-round near-shutout win over a fat former welterweight (147) champion in Felix Trinidad. Silva said that, “he would love to fight Roy Jones in a boxing match.”
SILVA ONE OF BEST MMA GUYS PERIOD!
Soon to be 33 years old, Silva is 20-4 in MMA, while Jones, the 1988 Olympic runner up (by way of robbery) is now 39 years of age and way past his peak. As a boxer, his record stands at 52-4 with 38 KOs. For Roy to take this fight in my mind would be virtual suicide. Silva is bigger, stronger, knows how to put leverage on his punches, and would be willing to fight Roy at or around 180 lbs. Were he to connect on Jones’ fragile chin, it would be “lights out” for Mr. Jones. As the above subtitle says, “Betcha’ Roy won’t answer the phone!”
