    WBO Lightweight Interim Champ?

Why is there an interim champ? Before he fought Campbell, was Nate strip? Was he out for awile with injury cuz i don't remember it.

Katsidis was the inteirm champ when he fought Amonsot last year and heard it again on his fight with Casamayor.

Acelino Freitas was WBO champ, then he retired making it vacant, so Michael Katsidis and Graham Earl fought for the title, then Freitas came out of retirement making him interim champ. I think thats how it happened, then Diaz beat Freitas, then lost to Campbell

Thanks. Too much interim going on, even in MMA.
