    What Greatness Does

It makes another really good fighter look ordinary. When Joe Calzaghe doesnt look like Joe of the past what can a person say? Many won't buy it if one says Joe got old overnight, seeing he will be fighting a guy 7 years older. Many won't buy the pressure of carrying an entire country on your back across the pond was too much for any one man. Which leaves the notion of the opposing fighter in question being on another level. There have been many fights where the great fighter basically shut out the really good fighter and April 19th will be no different.

Fights of notice: Roy Jones vs. James Toney
    Mayweather vs. Hatton

I don't think it really has to be domination either.

I mean Calzaghe and Kessler is a very good example. They were competitive, but Calzaghe was always one step ahead after 4 rounds and Kessler couldn't adapt to Calzaghe's adaptation, which made Kessler look average.

Casamayor Katsidis would be another example. Very competetive fight, but Casamayor executed a great gameplan and adjusted to Katsidis perfectly.

I don't think spoiling Calzaghe's work is going to be enough.

If he gets a decision merely for spoiling Calzaghe's work whilst not getting enough of his thing going, he doesn't deserve a decision.

I can see Bernard making Joe wild and making it scrappy but not enough to wrack up sufficent rounds to win the fight. He needs to up the workrate big time. Don't think it's possible.

Exactly what happened in the Joe/Kessler fight. I agree with you.

Its not about workrate, its about making punches count, besides he outthrew Winky. So if he wanted to go that route I dont think it would be a problem. Go watch the Keith Holmes fight, might help you for this one.
