[QUOTE=deevel79;3550204]shane is older than dlh............dlh fought floyd very well.........just as shane fought cotto very well..........floyd and cotto took those fights as money fights and there is nothing wrong with that.........cotto fans NOW use quintana as a top welter even though cotto destroyed him.......because he beat williams.........and they add 2 and 2 together and think cotto beats williams up......styles make fights......quintana and williams have to prove they are top welters now........cotto's resume and 5 last fights are not above floyd's resume, and his last 5 fights.........if one is much better than the other between either fighter, i don't see much of a difference in their comp at welter...................
The illusion of Floyd's #1pfp status.

I never discredited Floyd's win over Oscar. Like i said in my last post, it was a good victory for him, given that he went up to 154 to face and beat him. I was only trying to make the point that Oscar was no where near prime or active when Floyd beat him. Easy E was trying to say otherwise. As for Cotto's win over Shane, i feel it was a solid win for him aswell, but also recognize that he too was past his prime. I give him a little more credit because Shane was more active, and seemed as if he still had more left in the tank than Oscar did.Comment

[QUOTE=Bad_Barracuda;3550214]And Oscar just got his face fractured by Steve "2 pound" Forbes. Your point? Shane was on a 5 fight win streak prior to facing Cotto. He was active and showed that he was still very competitive. Oscar on the other hand, was inactive and had lost 3 of his last 5 fights prior to Floyd.Comment

[QUOTE=SkillspayBills;3550241]The bolded statement is a fair one. The reason why i say Shane had more left in his tank, is due to Oscar gassing in his fight with Floyd. Floyd is faaaaaaar from a busy fighter, and Oscar got tired doing practically nothing. Shane on the other hand was able to give Cotto a decent scrap all the way till the end. If Shane and Oscar were to meet tomorrow, who would u put your money on?Comment

Estrada was hurting Shane more than Cotto did..
Shane took everything Cotto dished out and was never hurt..
Shane is older and more shop-worn than Oscar..Comment
