I've got to say, Pacquiao probably does deserve that big of a purse after getting the official decision in the rematch.

Honestly, it is an investment for Marquez's future. If he beats Pacquiao, his stock skyrockets, and he makes more money down the road. If he refuses to give him that big of a split, he is going to be making what he would for a trilogy match with Pacquaio anyway, without the chance of attaining future HUGE paychecks.
