I didn't see the fight, and I never heard about Lee until now. He was a prospect and Vera got by him?
I've read the stoppage was premature, and I've read Lee was gettin beatin the whole round, lol what the **** happened?
Only time I've seen Vera was on the Contender, he landed like 2 heavy shots on that one kid, then he punched himself out and got laid the **** out.Comment

Lee still could become a champion, but he was getting hyped up too much by Steward.
He started off OK but started getting tired by round 4, he still won 5 of the first 6, he got hurt in the 7th by a right hand and was staggering a bit but he had just thrown his best left hand of the round before the stoppage. I felt if the referee hadn't stopped the fight earlier, there was no need to stop it then.Comment

I saw the fight, and it appears to me the ref had already made his mind up that he would stop the fight if Lee took another big shot. You can almost say it was Lee's fault because he couldn't knockout Vera when he was supposed to. What a heck of a fight it was for Vera to keep coming over and over, despite the fact that he was on the verge of being KO'd a few times. He out toughed Lee when it came down to it.Comment

See what I mean "exposed". **** I hate fans like these. I put all my points when Lee and Pavlik fight Lee will win.Comment

Yeah Lee has some stuff to learn but he's heavy handed, he just wasn't prepared for Vera to keep coming. The silly thing is that Vera couldn't do anything when lee was boxing, but a few times he got the better of exchanges.
But the referee stopping the fight when he did, it just seemed arbitrary.Comment

The biggest test is hiow he deals with the defeat.
He will go either one way or the other.
Learn from it and come back stronger or mentally he won't get over it.
It is a bit harsh to write off such a young guy but I guess that is what some people love todo.
A loss doesn't mean he won't ever be good enough in the future.Comment
