Man this isn't looking good, I really hope Calzaghe doesn't blow it. He is very capable of beating hopkins and making hopkins look dumb, but vice-versa both fighters can make each other look bad... But these fighters who lose their first fight don't seem to have a heart like Calzaghes. When ever Calzaghe fights he doesn't ever give up, thats what makes him a complete fighter. In his closest fight which was against robin reid, you can debate about that fight but that fight was close enough for him to get that win on his record and he never gave up in that fight. Oh and if you don't like calzaghe you can suck it, the guys a great boxer but so is bernard... If there is an upset with the casamayor fight tommorrow, meaning if an old ass casamayor legit beats katsidis*not that bs judging crap*, but if he loses his 0 then I'm going to start to worry because this year is starting to become the year of the upsets.

    Good luck to Calzaghe!!!

Calzaghe is an outrageous talent but he hasn't ever fought someone like Hopkins. I like Joe's risky agressive style, but he makes a boatload of the sorts of mistakes that Hopkins can capitalize on. Joe also acknowledged long ago that defensive minded fighters who prefer to counter are his stylistic nemesis. Calzaghe is going to have his hands full.

I have Hopkins by decision. Zero doubt. But I would absolutely love to be proven wrong. I'd rather Calzaghe walk away a certified Boxing legend.. Unfortunately Hopkins' age will help undermine that, but the argument will stick in certain circles if Joe retires undefeated - and that would be lovely.

It was a huge risk for calzaghe to take this fight. If he wins ppl will use bernards hopkins age as an excuse, if he loses then hopkins looks great because we all know calzaghe is a good fighter. In either case Hopkins comes out with a nice pay day and a smile on his face!!! Because if Hopkins loses it won't really effect his legacy, if Calzaghe loses it will effect his legacy in history!!!

This fight is like a chess match, which are the riskier fights for calzaghe to take. I definitely have calzaghe beating the crap out of pavlik style wise! But this fight is something that leaves a question mark. Hopkins is boring, but when ever I picked Hopkins to win he usually wins. I'm picking Calzaghe to win this but this fights so hard to predict. I picked Hopkins to destroy tarver. I remember when i used to work at the movie theaters and one time i wrote down on the movie schedule for everyone who walked in the movie theaters my prediction of hopkins beating the crap out of tarver. And I was right!!!
