Why is everyone on Zag's balls?

    Why?

Do you guys forget that he has fought in his hometown, in bouts that he was SUPPOSED to win for the last 10 years??

Where were the challenges to big names? I haven't heard any the last 8 years.

Where were taking risks? Maybe fighting in America like Ricky Hatton.

Nope, didn't do that. You can probably thanks Frank Warren for that. And Zag did make a helluva lot of money fighting mutts and cab drivers in Welshland.

Only the last three fights has he got any sort of credit.

He is not that unbeatable demi god that all of you make him out to be.

    Lacy and Kessler.

    That's it.

    Remember that.

what makes people think that the big american names WANTED to fight Joe??
he boxed for years in half empty halls in england and wales. the other champs and names could see he had skill so it wasnt worth the risk!

NOW the big names want to fight him and he is getting big fights cuz he has earned a reputation and a name!

He hasnt spent the last 5 years in the position hatton has been in of being able to pay someone like kostya a **** load of cash to fight him.

          Americans never get that.

They also expect Joe, a man with a young family at the time to have relocated to America.

I like how he gets blamed for not making a fight with Roy Jones, how that would have been achievable gets me!

hmmmmmm you just laboured to points victory over David Starie in front of a thousand people, your fighting Roy Jones next. LOL

You need to have bargaining chips to get big fights. Joe was a euro f.ag champ who beats bums in his backyard.

Who wants to fight that? especially as he is a great fighter in actuality.

Joe's career was also stifled by Sven Mother****ing Ottke. Like you could unify with that ****.

Who said you had to relocate in America to fight in America. The one thing I don't get is YES Joe couldn't get alot of these guys to face him but so did many other fighters but they still get slagged on their resume. Joe get's no pass on that.

                The Ricky Hatton argument.

Joe at 28 or so, could never have gone that route. Nobody cared about Joe Calzaghe.

I don't think Joe should get a pass. But thinking about it stoically, what else could have done?

I suppose he could have unfied with Beyer.
