Kermit Cintron: Was this a big factor in the first fight?

Cintron was coming off of a 9 month lay off when he faced Margarito. He had to take the time off because of a hand injury that needed surgery. Could this be the difference between the first fight and the rematch?
I myself had forgotten about this factor until I re-watched the fight again and Jim Lampley pointed it out. Cintron won't be coming off a lay off do to hand problems in the rematch. How big off a factor do you think it was in the first if any and do you think it effected his performance in the fight?
Could this make a difference between the first and the rematch?

My money is still on Marg, I just can't see Cintron winning this fight after thinking about how badly he did and looked in the first fight but the hand injury and lay off make me wonder if that is the reason he did so poorly the first time around.

    Your thoughts?

P.ricans fans think that Cintron would KO Margarito and Mexican fans belive that Margarito is the greatest welterweight right now. To me neither Cintron or Margarito have a significant advantage agaist the other in the end it would be a close fight but I really don't see greatness in neither guy!

Cintron is coming off a layoff, due to hand injuries sustained in the Feliciano bout (according to the Cintron camp, that's the reason the Willams fight fell through), allegedly.

Marg does kinda have a significant advantage, at least a psychological one. But I hope Cintron wins!!
