Do you think Mike Tyson would have been half as intimidating if he was white? Do you think he would have half the brutal and vicious reputation he had if he had been white?

I was just wondering about this because personally, I wouldnt find him as intimidating but I have no idea why.. wierd.. post your opinions.

I became a fan of Mike Tyson in the late 1980's when he was "IRON" Mike Tyson, before all the "stuff" went on in his life. The sheer power, the "no socks", that twitching of the neck, that short sprint to center ring..and bam!! That was one bad ass dude. If a boxer with so much determination, power, and devastation of his opponent and the willingness to test his skills with another another boxer, and doesn't back down....I am a fan....doesn't matter where he comes from or who his daddy is. If Tyson were white, I'd never miss a fight!

I think you're asking If Tyson were white..."would he still be a force"???

I think Rocky Marciano answer's that question. The only difference is Marciano "boxed" a bit more than Tyson.

I don't know .. If you look at the McNeeley staredown and picture him white, I doubt he'd be as intimidating as he was.

As you rightly mentioned there have been a number of extremely intimidating fighters of all races, including white fighters like Dempsey and LaMotta.
