    When a guy win's a title...

I see that a lot of times they are viewed as paper champions. I understand that but dont they deserve some credit if they win a belt? Wouldn't you guys feel hurt if you worked hard all your life to win a boxing title then you see everyone calling you a paper champion and it means nothing?

i only refer to people that have won a vacant title and then defend it against a streak of no ones. If they win a vacant title and defend it against good people they are a real champ and if they win a title by beating a reigning champ and defend against no ones....they still beat a REAL champ to get it so they are also a true champ.

I agree about the working hard thing. Its disgusting imo.

Depends really Calzaghe was considered a paper champ for a long time then he killed Lacy and beat Kessler soundly, Hopkins was cosidered a fading paper champ and then he beat Trinidad easily etc.. Fighter refered to as paper champs can become amazing fighters if given a chance to prove themselves often it's not there own fault but the fault of their manager/handlers and the opposing fighters team not giving them enough money or makin ridiculous demands etc..
