Hagler.
I think Whitaker is a little too tough to imitiate with his improvising and strange moves.
Hagler wasn't extremely gifted with athleticsm, didn't have blazing speed or freakish power, he was just very good all-around. Great jab, solid technical skills, good parrying defense, good legs and footwork, nice combos, etc..Comment

i agree with that.
whitaker was (in my opinion) an all time great amoung the top southpaws to ever lace them up...
if your defensive ability is a 1/4th of what whitaker's was you're very gifted.
out of southpaws i say whitaker is the guy to study.Comment

I have Chad Dawson's style down pact and i am very good at it. Dawson and i are both natural right handers that choose to fight left handed to confuse opponents and be more effective. Hagler, Whitaker, Wright, Spinks and Judah are also fighters that you would want to keep in mind.

Since you are a natural right hander, your right hook is very effective because you are already right handed and is use to using that hand. But you have to work on your straight left hand in order to throw it properly.Last edited by slicksouthpaw16; 03-19-2008, 05:26 AM.Comment
