So why pass up $8 million for an easier fight? You're telling me he took less money for a harder fight against a guy who had just lost to a bum in the biggest upset in welterweight history? the judah fight had to happen, it was a good clash of styles, just look at the fight itself, judah gave floyd a good run for his money, he was just as fast if not faster and fought a smart fight, do you really think margarito could give floyd as good a fight as judah did ?

My point is why is Mayweather turning down a career high payday for a guy you think is easy work? I was happy Floyd fought Judah. It was an interesting matchup that i've always wanted to see. His loss to Baldo kind've killed the hype surrounding it though. With that said, it still doesnt make sense for Floyd to turn down 8mil for a supposed "easier fight" so that he can take on a more dangerous opponent for "5mil". That goes against Floyd's logic of "if it dont make dollars, it dont make sense"

i have more respect for margarito now than i did then and thats kind of the point, the fight wouldn't generate much interest, the judah fight did, boxing fans wanted to see mayweather and judah because of the similar style of fighting, nobody knew who margarito was he was just claiming to be the most feared man in boxing .. which meant what? now margarito has made a name for himself IN THE RING, not just claiming how good he is, the fight would make sense.

i could really care less what ranking Baldo had when Floyd fought him, its my opinion that Baldo may be one of the worst welterweights to be called the "undisputed champion". he was undeafeted for 7 years? alright, against who? regardless of his 9 losses when he met with floyd, he was THE champ. really? who did he take it from, Judah? that IS an impressive win but who did he fight before Judah? Is the Judah win really why Floyd gets credit for beating Baldomir? Baldomir was as safe and calculated a choice as Gatti. Dont get me wrong here, Floyd played that BEAUTIFULLY. I give him all the props for making those moves because they were brilliant, but dont tell me Baldi was actually a serious threat. rant over.
