Roy only gets into it with Merchant and it's only when Merchant is railing on boxers for not blocking punches with their face. Roy was a boxer and Merchant, who never boxed a day in his life, has the gall to rip on boxers like Roy for not taking unnecessary risks.
I don't like Roy so much in the ring, but I like him behind the mic because he's the only one who discusses what the boxer is thinking. He'll explain in detail how the guy is setting something up. Teddy Atlas does this too, but not as well as Roy. NOBODY at HBO does this even remotely well right now. At HBO is all about attempting to inject artificial excitement from a bunch of grumpy old men.
