I think he's the IBF mandatory so he's supposed to get the winner of Margarito-Cintron 2.

Arum says Cotto is supposed to get the winner but we'll see about that.

He had his shot and couldnt even beat Margarito. Sure, he broke his hand, but fighters do that all the time and still win it shows a true champion. Maybe if he is impressive in his next fight on VS he will get some attention, but his last outing against Alvarez I think only hurt him. When it comes down to it, no one is begging to see him fight, and when the welterweight division is full of stars capable of putting on big money fights, Clottey just doesnt bring anything to the table.

I doubt he gets Margarito if Margarito wins...we all know they're trying to set up Cotto/Margarito

Clottey might get Cintron, but other than that he can stay busy...fight Collazo maybe

Hands. Its plural, he broke both of them, and Margarito still couldn't do anything.

dead on. he doesn't get Margo if he wins, and might not get Cintron neither. I wouldn't be surprised if he fights for the interim title. And I would LOVE to see him in with Collazo, that is a fight the division would be talking about, two lower-end top10 welterweights. that can only be good for boxing. But I think he is going to sit on his mandatory, but he needs a Collazo or a Berto.

The winner is supposed to vacate the title and fight Cotto. I have a feeling though that if Cintron wins, Arum will move on with the Mayorga fight, and have Clottey fight Cintron.

The plan is for the winner of that fight to vacate the IBF title to fight Cotto. That would automatically put Clottey in a match for the vacant title.

i dont think clottey gets a title shot against cotto...

more than likely to get to cotto he'd have to beat the winner of margarito/cintron II or quintana...

i dont think he can go straight to the top contender in the welterweight division...he has to climb the ladder (so to speak).
