He went back from that, but wasn't seriously hurt. But Oleg was disorientated from the rabbit punches a few seconds later, so then he was an easy target for the final blows.

peter is a much better fighter now than he was when he lost to Wlad. He has better defensive skills for sure. I think wlad would win only because he would not engage with him. If you watched the Iggy fight any heated exchange he would jab out. Peter has a pretty good beard but can be ko'ed by a big puncher. I think Wlad wins another unamimious dec if he fights his boring style.

Peter is overrated....I was not impressed with his performance against Maskaev....He beat an old shot 39 year old fighter with a suspect chin...Big Deal....Peter looked slow and his defence was ****, he was even hurt by old Maskaev...Peter once again got away with his illegal rabbit punches behind the head and the dumbass ref let him get away with it.

Wlad would beat Peter again in a rematch and knock him out.

If Vitali is healthy and makes it back to the ring he will also KO Peter.

Ibragimov,Chagaev,Valuev, and Povetkin would all beat Peter IMO.

Why do you think rabbit punches are illegal? Look up "rabbit punch" on wikipedia.
Not without headgear anyway, but fair enough.... But I mean come on, it looked as if a strong wind could've KO'd Maskaev at this point in his career. I doubt the lack of Rabbit punches would've made a difference. But I do agree that Sam Peter does get away with rabbit punching, he was hardly warned at all against Klitschko.

True, Maskaev looked like a very old, shot fighter. I think there's at least fifty heavyweights who would defeat him now.

I think Peter could beat Valuev, knock him out. In fact I think that would be the very best matchup for Sam at heavyweight, because Valuev isn't that skilled and his punches don't have that much mustard on them. Nikolai is there to be hit, especially with looping right hands.

Peter could beat Wlad by stoppage, but the likelihood is for an extremely timid decision winning effort from Wladimir "The Ukrainian Churchmouse" Klitschko.

i don't see peter beating wlad at this point! wlad has come along way and overall i think he is vastly improved, and even though peter has improved, to me it is not nearly as much as wlad.

I enjoy watching Sam Peter, I believe that he could still be undefeated, but a lack of experience hurt him when he fought Wlad. He has power in both hands, and he is currently the WBC Champion at Heavyweight.

Does he have what it takes to rule the Heavyweight division??

wlad would stop peter within 8 rounds if manny doesnt have him clinching all night like last time. I suspect manny will have wlad fight more aggressively as peter has shown more vulnerability to power shots in recent fights. wlad tko 7

To fight Wlad, Peter has to win over Vitali. As long as Vitali makes it to the ring without injuries and will be at least 75% of the fighter he used to be, he will humiliate Peter and stop all this talk about his rematch with Wlad. Peter will then go back to what he is best at - knocking club fighters out.
