Many says Pac's power has dramatically declined? Do you believe on this? For me, personally I believe he still has the power and a single punch can still floor David Diaz...

pacquiao has never been a one punch knockout guy but he has a really fast and heavy left hand. it's just that during his fight with marquez he was really careful on landing it because he knows if he wont be careful with landing the right shots marquez would counter punch him. i dont see his power going down since he still had marquez on his ass and both his feet up the air. if u can do that to very well conditioned grown man then that means there is an amount of power in there. and the good part is no one has ever knock marquez like that except pacquiao. so that means his got some power there in 130.

Pac has never been a 1 punch KO but still a 1 punch KD... I understand why he was not punching too much during the fight with JMM... he used his head and followed all words from Freddie...
Like the second fight with MAB where he was too careful...he failed to KO barerra but barera got the beating of his life
BTW this is an incredible shot only seen from Pac
IMO, JMM was saved by the ropes and the bell..Last edited by Titing Kabayo; 03-17-2008, 04:50 AM.

No,it's just Juanita's style that hesitated him to throw those power shots..He had Juanita's ass flat on the ground...

Pacquiao's power will carry to 135, it will not decrease significantly from what it is right now. However, fighters at 135 may be able to take his shots better because they may have fought guys that punch just as hard as Pacquiao or even harder if they previously fought at say 140 and moved down.
Juan Diaz debuted at 140. Joel Casamayor has tasted punches from Jose Luis Castillo and the late Diego Corrales, both of whom fought at 147 in their careers and both of whom I believe hit harder than Pacquiao hits.
So, while Pacquiao's power may remain the same, it still might not hurt his opponents as much as it has hurt guys from 122-130 in recent years. Though, he's not throwing pillow shots either, so by loading up with those shots, he could still end up with devastating knockouts. David Diaz would make a good litmus test.
I worry about Pacquiao going to 135 because if he's successful I'm afraid he will try to go to 140 against Ricky Hatton. I do not feel Hatton should even be allowed to fight at 140 with how much he balloons up between fights, or he should maintain the weight better. He's just too big for Pacquiao I'm afraid. Though, it all comes down to the payday I believe.

I think he could hurt guys at 140.
His power is his great equaliser.
Lets be frank he is not as good as Marquez, he hits so hard and throws so fast that he is very hard to deal with at that weight and below.
Hatton would throw him around and bash him up at 140. Manny could definetely hurt him though.

i believe he could carry his power easily into 135. he was 146 in his last fight and if he hadn't drained himself to make 130, i think he would have more pop. i think his speed too will be there too because of the same reason.
