For JMM - BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME (if there will be…)

In my opinion, it is very clear that Manny Paquiao won the fight. I've made my own scorecards too (114-113). Rounds 1,2,5,6,7 & 8 are for Marquez at 10-9. Other rounds 3,4,9,10,11 & 12 are for Paquiao.

Based on official Nevada State Athletic all judges scorecards have similar 10-8 for Paquiao in rd 3. It could also be 10-7 as Marquez is holding ropes on the dying seconds of rd 3. Paquiao became more aggressive from rds 9-12…

Pacquiao has stronger and power punches than Marquez, as proven by a clear 4 Knockdowns in their total 24 rounds of fighting.... Marquez did not even KO or knockdown Pacquiao…(maybe only shaken)..… Anyway, I still hope they will meet again at 135 lbs. lightweight before the end of this year or early next year... Mexicans should also accept the defeat of their countryman Marquez....but not saying it was rob... They have to watch again the video of that fight and judge for themselves intelligently...

People always expecting Paquiao to win by KO or UD; but it now happens he wins by split decision… Fair enough…

It also came to my mind that Marquez will win the judges scorecards; however, I will not accept if Pacquiao loses the fight… Well… thanks for that convincing Knockdown in round 3…and almost in rd 10… otherwise… Marquez will win or again a draw…..

Marquez should prove next time he can KO or knockdown Pacquiao convincingly, if he wants also to be recognized as pound for pound best fighter… Pacquiao did it to him 4 times…. Can he beat that??? Pacquiao will remain and will always be his nightmare… So he and his Mexicans believers / cohorts should stop grumbling or complaining…. And humbly accepts defeat… it is not his day ! Be man enough to accept the verdict of the judges... We have to live with those decisions… Better luck next time !

But I feel he should fight again Chris John, before he fights Pacquiao.

“Robert Morales of the Los Angeles Daily News would state that, perhaps what hurts boxing more than dubious decisions is the constant complaining and bellyaching from those that lose close fights”. Three judges score the fight, one score it one way, two score it the other way, the media is all mixed, HBO goes one way. Y'know, people see fights the way they see it. One thing everybody can agree on, it was a damn close fight…”

Like another posted here already said, can you imagine the early beating Marquez took in the first fight, only to come back and get a draw- then watch Pacquiao's star sky-rocket, see him get onto current great lists, destroy opponents and bask in wealth- knowing he got a draw, almost won, and yet he's toiling in relative obscurity? Then Marquez gets the rematch. 4 years he's waited- while Manny got more popular, more feared, respect and loved- and he finally gets a chance. He knows Manny is better than he was four years ago, he knows that Mexico is rooting him on now- that for once he has his countrymen behind him in full force. The emotional and physical strain of going to bed every night with the fight on his mind, waking up early every morning to push his body to the limit. Playing the first battle over and over- remember the knock downs- remembering how hard he fought.

Marquez fought a great fight. He pushed himself, he put it all out there- he bled and got knocked down, he was hurt and put his all- and it was close. One judge had it his way, Merchant had it a draw. His hard, tactical fight- the years of waiting and months of agonizing build-up- with his people behind him- and he fell short. He gave his all and didn't get the 'W'.

Now imagine how people can say ****** things out of emotion. Like you did PrtyBoyDlicious when you called Juan a ***** and a girl, etc. While you sat on your ass Marquez gave us a great fight- a close fight...he put it all out there like a warrior and fought to the bell. He didn't run, or foul Pacquiao or do anything dishonorable in any way. But out of your anger- an emotion- at him not accepting defeat like a man, as you put it, you called him a *****. You can't mean that- Marquez proved his heart in that fight.

So, let's say you said something dumb out of emotion when you started this thread. Can't you imagine Marquez saying something himself out of pure emotion? If you can do it and get a pass, so can he. Except he is working with more emotion than being slightly upset at someone; he's crushed and drained.

Give respect where it's due. I wouldn't call the decision a robbery- but calling Marquez a ***** is far more ****** and ignorant than anything he's or any Marquez fan has said.

Hey, that's a great post! 10+! AAA! for the effort....

That's ur opinion. But, I'm a hardcore PPV buying boxing fan. I'll call anyone names if I don't like what they're doing, specially if I'm enjoying the luxury of being behind a keyboard. I paid 50 DOLLARS of my hard earned money to watch the fight and I'm regular PPV buyer, HBO customer service would call me up 1 week before a match just as a reminder and to set me up if there's a title bout.

JMM is entitled to speak his mind and myself being a paying Joe, I'm also entitled to voice my opinion about him whether its good or harsh words...there's no need to get butt hurt...JMM is really a sore loser, a little biatch at best!!! PEACE!

Very good performance by both. JMM is no ***** for fighting like that, you guys gotta walk through a fighter's shoes in order to really realize wut's going on. The fight was close as ****, anybody would be a little pissed after losing a fight that close.

Marquez has only himself to blame in this close fight. He had a MASSIVE window of opportunity in round 8 but failed to capitalize. That round was epic and had so much more drama behind it than most people realize.

This is where Marquez really screws up. Building up to round 8, he clearly had the momentum in his favor. Then he struck oil and landed huge right that cut Pacquiao, taking away his vision.
After the cut, he was landing at will. Pacquiao almost conceded the fight and pretty much told Marquez "Ok you got me, this is your chance, you wanna win, come and knock me out". You can see Pac urging him in but Marquez still stayed back and counterpunched instead of going after his blinded nemesis with a killer instinct. I have no doubt in my mind that Marquez could have floored, heck even stopped Pacquiao in that round but his tentative aggression let Pac off the hook.

Once the cut was cleaned up, Pacquiao fired back with all cylinders for the next 3 rounds, a message to Marquez saying that he missed his chance. Marquez has no one to blame for this decision but himself. He always had the heart to fight back, to refuse to give in but he lacked the fire and desire to put his opponent away when he had the chance.

If you have read this thread you'll see I tried to make amends with Hyperion. He contined to insult me. When it was clear that he wasn't getting the reaction he wanted, he gave me red K as much as he could. Everyone should know that if you disagree with Hyperion this is how he responds. You're all entitled to your opinions.. Unless they don't match Hyperions.
