I think this is built up from the first fight too, even though that's the one I thought he lost. And if a judge really scored the 12th for Pacquiao then it'd be hard not to be outraged by that.

JMM should work on not getting knocked on his ass and having his eye punched open if he wants to be taken more seriously next time he cries about a bad decision.

You gotta remember this isn't the first time this has happened to marquez it has been a constant theme his whole career, must be frustrating, maybe it boiled over this time around

I thought manny looked a mentally beaten fighter in the press conference, a little reminiscent of hatton after the collazo fight

I don't know about calling a guy that went 12 hard rounds with one the best fighters in the world and almost winnig a ***** and a crybaby. He fought hard and trained hard for this fight and when you just come up that short Im sure it's not easy to take. Being in sports myself pretty much my whole life I understand that in the heat of the moment after losing close contests it hurts and hard to take. Maybe in time we'll hear a more humble response from JMM, but for know im sure it still burns.

Manny looked like that after the Barrera fight as well. I think after he leaves it all out in the ring he just has a zombified look on his face.

Like another posted here already said, can you imagine the early beating Marquez took in the first fight, only to come back and get a draw- then watch Pacquiao's star sky-rocket, see him get onto current great lists, destroy opponents and bask in wealth- knowing he got a draw, almost won, and yet he's toiling in relative obscurity? Then Marquez gets the rematch. 4 years he's waited- while Manny got more popular, more feared, respect and loved- and he finally gets a chance. He knows Manny is better than he was four years ago, he knows that Mexico is rooting him on now- that for once he has his countrymen behind him in full force. The emotional and physical strain of going to bed every night with the fight on his mind, waking up early every morning to push his body to the limit. Playing the first battle over and over- remember the knock downs- remembering how hard he fought.

Marquez fought a great fight. He pushed himself, he put it all out there- he bled and got knocked down, he was hurt and put his all- and it was close. One judge had it his way, Merchant had it a draw. His hard, tactical fight- the years of waiting and months of agonizing build-up- with his people behind him- and he fell short. He gave his all and didn't get the 'W'.

Now imagine how people can say ****** things out of emotion. Like you did PrtyBoyDlicious when you called Juan a ***** and a girl, etc. While you sat on your ass Marquez gave us a great fight- a close fight...he put it all out there like a warrior and fought to the bell. He didn't run, or foul Pacquiao or do anything dishonorable in any way. But out of your anger- an emotion- at him not accepting defeat like a man, as you put it, you called him a *****. You can't mean that- Marquez proved his heart in that fight.

So, let's say you said something dumb out of emotion when you started this thread. Can't you imagine Marquez saying something himself out of pure emotion? If you can do it and get a pass, so can he. Except he is working with more emotion than being slightly upset at someone; he's crushed and drained.

Give respect where it's due. I wouldn't call the decision a robbery- but calling Marquez a ***** is far more ****** and ignorant than anything he's or any Marquez fan has said.

+1 great post, the man's stock went up, not down.

Well said. Never call a boxer, especially a warrior like JMM, a *****. He gets in the ****in ring and gives it his all after months of training and loses a VERY close fight that he feels was the wrong decision. The real ***** is someone who talks crap about people behind the safety of computer screen, people who go out there and compete for our entertainment.

and of course, the Pac fans, mostly he filipino fans, show no class again. First, you guys were saying JMM fans were going to be making excuses if he lost, which they havent so YOU guys have been making threads trying to bait excuses but no one is biting. So now you make a classless thread like this? is this the way you try to make new fans for Pac? You guys act like you are the exception to the ruke when after the first fight, a billion excuses where made for pac not being able to finish JMM off after knocking him down 3 times and YOU guys were crying robbery and judge this and judge that.

stop being hypocrits and enjoy the win.
