115-112 for Pac.
115-112 for JMM.
114-113 for Pac, due to a knockdown or 115-113 for Pac due to a second knockdown the ref didn't called in favor of JMM who holding himself dearly on the rope. If there's only 20 seconds or more left on that 3rd round, we don't have this kind of discussion now. Where's the robbery?

Compubox counts punches landed but it doesn't mean you landed more you win the fight. Lets say JMM punches landed 100 more than on Pac in round 1 then Pac landed 1 or 2 punches more to JMM from 2nd round up to 12 round. In compubox will tell you JMM landed more punches around 80 or more on Pac but think who won the fight? Thats an example only. The truth is the fight was very close and can go either way, the knockdown makes the difference.

cool. overall punchstats statistics are misleading. since fights are judged per round, then stats per round should matter. although it still wont tell who got the most effective punches unless you watch it. a KD would surely matter.

See the judge that had it 115-112 for Manny is far from crazy. Had that third round knockdown never happened, that round could have easily been judged for Marquez and his final tally would have been 114-114. A draw!
The one that judged 115-112 for Marquez is a little exagerated. He gave 8 out of 12 rounds to Marquez. Take away the knock down and that would have been a landslide (9/12). Crazy...Hardly proper round distribution for such a close fight. That was Jerry Roth, the guy who had Trinidad winning vs DLH.

Yep, thats why I was very particular about the punches per round, not the total punches landed.

As for the person who landed the cleaner and more effective punches, you can give manny the benefit of the doubt to win during some of the exchanges considering that he is a stronger puncher. I'm not saying that Marquez was'nt landing cleaner punches because he was. Its just that if Marquez hits Manny with a one two which forces Manny baxkwards and Manny hit Marquez back with a one two theres an argument that Manny got the better of the exchange because he punches harder.

I agree with it being no robbery (114-113 JMM was my card), but I don't think Compubox proves much anyway.

It's misleading and I question it's accuracy anyway.

That is unless you believe a system that says Felix Trinidad landed 166 punches against Oscar De La Hoya, Arturo Gatti landed 41 punches on Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya landed 120+ on Floyd Mayweather, and Mayweather landing 220+ on Oscar.

I love it... Manny P was the effective aggressor, landed more shots in most of the rounds AND KD'd JMM twice...Yea, JMM won... bahahaha

Manny P was the one that was robbed. Robbed of the UD he deserved.
