You don't argue EXTREMELY close fights, its dumb. Marquez and Pac are the most even matchup in the history of boxing. It doesn't matter how many times they fight cuz its always gonna be even. Even fights that should be draws are rarely ever scored as draws because of the probability that all 3 judges are gonna synchronize a draw. If they fight 10 times, the fight will probably be even 10 times but it'll still probably be a SD or a MD going one way or the other. Even the first fight being scored a draw was lucky even though it really was a draw.

you dont have these types of disputes when klitschko gets in the ring, he just dominates everyone he faces.

        I agree

didnt Steward and lampley say something similar about how they match up so well you will always get a close fight prime for prime?

I have to admit JMM when he is a counter puncher is the most dangerous fighter, if he fought marco and morales this way he fights pacquiao with calculated counter punches he would decision them as well

yeah, JMM is very skilled but its more of a stylistic matchup that makes these 2 fighters even. pac is a come forward aggressive and attack with speed and power type of fighter, while JMM is a patient keep-your-distance type of fighter who is techniquely sound and knows how to counter punch effectively and both take advantage of each others mental lapses almost everytime. JMM might get dominated by a lesser fighter but he will never be dominated by a very talented pacman.

meaning, another fighter might come along and might not be as good as pacman, but he will have a style to dominate JMM the way pacman could not even if pacman is the better fighter than said A fighter. Point: This matchup has more to do with styles than skills. Chris John isn't half of pacman IMO but he beat JMM cuz he had a style that JMM couldn't handle.

If you look at Marquez againts fighters like jandang, juarez, jaca, chris john; I think his performances in those fights are sub par and those type of fights does not really bring out the absolute best in marquez which is far beyond what he has shown againts lesser opponents even if he beats them. I dont think he was even at his absolute best againts barrera as the marquez we saw last night, in my opinion woulda blown barrera away via ko. PAC is the same way againts lesser opposition and bring out his A game againts the elite. Last night, however, both fighters brought their A++++ game.

I agree with this. its about that hunger thats why both guys put on a masterful show.

The jmm last night was a beast he could of took anyone else to school that night.

JMM got up for this fight because of how important this fight was with those other guys he couldnt get hungry for them.

I really think Morales can beat or even dominate Marquez.

Juan Manuel Marquez looks amazing because of Pacquiao. That's his best game. a man moving forward and trying to land heavy bombs.

Againts a morales who is a superb boxer JMM might not look as impressive.
