Ok, well it doesn't take much explaining to understand the difference with fighters trying to gain an advantage by weight gain and others that gain weight due to the rehydration which badly shows how they had trouble making the weight. If I have to explain that when there is video proof out there of the difference, don't waste my time.
Now as for me making an excuse? When the hell did I make an excuse? I asked a simple question, now you have to completely redirect it into an excuse? I'll tell you what, your saying I'm starting an excuse cause your sour Marquez didn't get the decision. Why would I want to make an excuse when my guy got the W? Oh because, he didn't knock him out like everyone expected right? Were you also one that thought Manny would only win by KO?

Well, Marquez did make Manny go back to his usual left hand happy. I didn't see him use the right nearly enough as he did in the Morales 2nd and 3rd fights. Even against Barrera he used it a heck of a lot more. I think Marquez neutralized the right more than he did the left. But I also feel, as good as we can say Marquez is, when he counter punches, he's boring and had it not been Manny pressing the action, it would have been a super dull fight. So I'm not sure I can call Marquez awesome guy for being so technically good when he rather not press the action and sit around to counter punch(boring).

OK, sticking to the weight topic here...

Blowing up in weight is a big factor, & can go either way advantage wise.

        Pacquiao came in at about the weight that I expected him to at around 144, 145;
the big suprise for me was Marquez at 141.
I expected him to be about 137.

        First Paquiao..
Thought that Pacquiao & his team managed the blowing up in weight as well as can be managed.
He gradually brought himself down to the required weight over a long period, & looked good at the weigh-in.
Compare how he looked to later Morales bouts, where the guy looked like he should of been rushed to the nearest hospital.

Advantage to Pacquiao is that he is naturally the bigger guy against Marquez, & it showed.
Downside is that I thought Pacquiao took longer recover to his energy after big bursts of energy, like after the big big punches thrown in the 3rd & 4th, & then the late mid-rounds attack.

        Now Marquez...
Thought he put on the extra pounds to try & match Pacquiao.
Upside is that he maybe had a bit more punch resistance than he would of if he came in lighter against the bigger man, which could of been critical for the end of the 3rd, & when Pacquaio landed that bomb late.

Downside is that I thought he lost a little speed in his combinations, & didn't throw as many as he's done in recent fights.

All up, I thought most factors balanced each other out, with the advantage edge going slightly to Pacquiao.
Size matters, even if it costs you a little energy.

I think Manny's best days are behind him and what we saw last night, might of been the last great win of Manny's career.

or wait, what about when Paul Williams comes into the ring after gaining 16lbs, and its considered 'unfair' because he is so much bigger than his opponents, and people go as far as to say that he is a coward who is afraid to move up in weight and fight people his size? Dont hear that a lot when talking about Pacquiao...

              very confusing.
Me and other posters have said it before, if its a Mexican then some posters complain but if its anyone else is a disadvantage. It really shows how much people either hate seeing Mexican boxers win or they can't put there issues with Mexicans aside when watching a Mexican fighter win.
