    Bag gloves vs Training gloves

Hey all, I am looking for some comfortable gloves to hit the heavy bag with, mine is very hard and filled with sand. Anyways, I wanted to know if it is okay to use training gloves such as the grant training http://www.grantboxing.com/detail.aspx?ID=22633 or the adidas training gloves: http://www.ringside.com/detail.aspx?ID=25937

Are these meant for heavy bag use? If not, I will just go with a regular super bag glove although the Title super bag gloves I ordered were very uncomfortable and I couldn't make a fist at all. People say the Grant super bag glove is good but also very stiff http://www.ringside.com/detail.aspx?ID=25890 , what do you guys recommend? Or if I have issues with making a tight fist should I just go with these small loose thumb style gloves by grant: http://www.ringside.com/detail.aspx?ID=25886

    any info would be great,
    thanks

get bag gloves. plenty of people use training gloves for hitting the bag, but bag gloves are obviously specifically designed for hitting the bag and should not be used to spar.

can't comment on the other stuff. never tried grant or adidas stuff. you can't go with ringside equipment.

does anybody have the Grant Campeon super bag gloves? How have they held up? Are you able to make a comfortable fist because I couldn't with Title super bag gloves. Also what size do you think I need. I measured my hand, it's 9cm across the knuckles when I make a fist. I am 5'11 168 pounds.

            thanks

dude, call the people at ringside. they are way more knowledgeable about this stuff than the people on here.

example: today i called about their shoes and the guy knew exactly what i was talking about right away, and even knew that they ran a little bit small and told me to order up a size.

they know their **** there. just call em and ask whatever questions you got.

also- the title super bag gloves are pretty nice gloves. like any other glove you need to break them in. if you have a new pair of titles i'd stick with those for now.

Anyone know why you shouldn't use bag gloves for sparring? I was sparring with a trainer at the gym I go to and he was using the ringside super bag gloves..

Bag gloves are meant to hit the heavy bag/pads, training gloves are meant for sparring. The bag gloves usually come in 12 to 14oz wether the training gloves go up to 18oz with more cushion in order to not hurt your sparring partner that badly.

By the way I use either the IMF Techs or the Rival bag gloves, they are both very good and comfortable.
